Barbara's Basic Blondie Bars

Barbaras Basic Blondie Bars

  • 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
  • Flavored sugar (see below)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon LorAnn Bakery Emulsion (flavor of choice)

Ingredients for Flavored Sugar


1. Preheat oven to 350º F.

2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. Set aside.

3. In a small bowl, stir together the flavored sugar ingredients until well combines.

4. In a large bowl, cream the butter and flavored sugar. Add the egg and beat until well combined. Mix in the bakery emulsion. Stir in dry ingredients just until blended.

5. Spread batter evenly into lightly greased 8" x 8 " baking pan.

6. Bake 28 - 30 minutes.




Pralines & Cream: LorAnn pralines and cream super strength flavored sugar + LorAnn butter vanilla bakery emulsion.

Caramel: LorAnn caramel super strength flavored sugar + LorAnn butter vanilla bakery emulsion

Raspberry Cheesecake: LorAnn cheesecake super strength flavored sugar + LorAnn raspberry bakery emulsion + 1/2 cup white chocolate chips stirred in at the end of step 4.
