Royal Icing

  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3 Tbsp. meringue powder
  • powdered sugar to proper stiffness

Add ingredients to mixer bowl and whip until foamy. Then add enough powdered sugar until peaks stand up. Add paste color to desired shade. Form flowers. Flowers may be made up ahead of time and stored without refrigeration.
