Fresh Fruit with Dressing

Fresh fruit is appealing at all events from the most formal tea, to the casual backyard picnic. You can be as elaborate as designing a melon into a beautiful swan or as informal as serving slices of watermelon on a plate. Whatever the presentation - choose a variety of fuit that will appeal to all diners. To top off your fresh fruit try the following dressing:

Fruit Salad Dressing
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • In a saucepan, combine juices, sugar and egg and bring to a boil, cook and stir for 1 minute until thickened. Strain. Cover and refrigerate.

    Frozen Fruit Cup
  • 12 oz. orange juice
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pkg. strawberries (juice and all)
  • 3 c. chunk pineapple (juice and all)
  • 5 bananas, cut up
  • Mix all ingredients. Freeze in individual containers. Cover with plastic wrap. Makes about 24 servings.
