Dipped Oreos

A pretty treat that is simply delicious!

 

You will need:

Be sure to have your work area ready. A cooling grid or parchment paper on the countertop and a shallow bowl filled with your colored sprinkles or nonpareils.

Slowly melt the wafers in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.

When the coating is ready, dip Oreos™ individually into coating with candy dipping fork or kitchen tongs. Let excess drip for a second and then place in bowl of sprinkles. Gently turn over to coat both sides and then place on cooling grid or parchment paper to set.

 

These treats are very pretty and make a nice gift for spring or for May Day baskets. You may want to package them in clear cello bags and tie with a twist tie and ribbon!

 

The colored melting wafers have a vanilla flavor which goes nicely with the chocolate Oreos. For even more spring color, use spring Oreos with colored centers.

If you want a minty or orange flavor, choose the green or orange flavored wafers.

For the chocolate lovers, dip your Oreos in chocolate confectionery coating and cover them in chocolate sprinkles!
