Fresh Fruit with Dressing

Fresh fruit is appealing at all events from the most formal tea, to the casual backyard picnic. You can be as elaborate as designing a melon into a beautiful swan or as informal as serving slices of watermelon on a plate. Whatever the presentation - choose a variety of fuit that will appeal to all diners. To top off your fresh fruit try the following dressing:

Fruit Salad Dressing

2/3 cup orange juice

3 Tbsp lemon juice

1 cup sugar

1 egg, lightly beaten

In a saucepan, combine juices, sugar and egg and bring to a boil, cook and stir for 1 minute until thickened. Strain. Cover and refrigerate.

For those who like to prepare way ahead and have some fruit on hand for all times of the year - try this refreshing fruit...

Frozen Fruit Cup

12 oz. orange juice

1/3 cup lemon juice

2 cups water

1 cup sugar

2 pkg. strawberries (juice and all)

3 c. chunk pineapple (juice and all)

5 bananas, cut up

Mix all ingredients. Freeze in individual containers. Cover with plastic wrap. Makes about 24 servings.
