I have been using the less expensive plastic molds to make chocolate truffles for years; melt n mold type chocolate for the outside shell. I gave the Round Swirl mold a try - yes very easy to unmold, although a couple of the truffles broke. I did notice the truffles were not "perfect" - the coating did not completely cover the small nooks of the mold probably caused by air bubbles - I feel these two problems were due to "Operator Error" - I was so anxious to give it a try I should have paid more attention to the temperature of the chocolate and tapped the mold on the counter to make sure there were no air bubbles - since the molds are not clear - you cannot see if there are any air bubbles. But with a little getting-use-to I think they will work great - proof is I just placed an order in for 11 more molds - Christmas gifts should have a new look this year!

The quality of these molds are amazing. They are so easy to use and to clean up. The chocolate really does come out as shiny as pictured! I bought one of each and I can't wait to use them all!
