Now you can each have pie - your way! Increase your options to baking pies. This innovative pan makes it easy to have 2 kinds of pie in one pie tin. This 3-piece set includes 2 inserts for creating either a traditional full size pie or 2 halves. Insert with divider allows you to bake 2 kinds of pies at once for more choices at the dinner table. Both inserts fit into pie outer ring so serving is easy - just push up from bottom and you won't damage the crust. 9" x 1-1/4" deep.

I was intrigued by this pan for quite awhile and finally splurged on TWO of them for the Thanksgiving holiday; some relatives like fruit pies, some like custardy ones - what to do when you know there won't be a whole pie of a certain type eaten? This pie pan solves that problem. However, you have to observe a few rules: First of all you have to select pie types that cook at the same temperature for the same amount of time. For example, a standard mince pie recipe AND a lemon-buttermilk pie both bake about 35 minutes; also, baking two different kinds of quiche (we did a spinach and a ham/cheese one)works out very well. What does NOT work is if you're trying to bake a pie that starts out at 425 degrees and gets lowered to 325 degrees after 10 minutes and another type of pie that just needs 350 degrees all along and for a lesser amount of cooking time -burnt pie crust and an overcooked pie on one side is what can happen. I was very pleased with the results I got and would definitely recommend this pie pan to the adventurous baker! Since you are only using HALF of a pie filling recipe you could also just bake two pie pans of the exact same types - -one to keep for yourself and one to serve and one for the folks to take home!
