Excellent product

"I ordered the canner from kitchenkrafts on a Friday and it was delivered the following Wednesday. Packaging was very good and the canner suffered no damage in transit. I used the canner today for the first time, canning a half dozen jars of pickled turkey eggs. It brought the water temperature (3 gallons) up to simmer within 20 minutes and when I cranked it up to boiling, it worked fast and flawlessly. I bought this electric canner because we have a glasstop range that makes a conventional waterbath canner unfeasible to use. Overall, I'd rank this product as a ten. Only thing would make it better is if it came with a canning rack. But... I used the one from my old stovetop canner and it worked just fine."
Great Idea with a few areas for improvement

"I ordered this awhile back but just pulled it out to use today for tomato sauce. I'm a little surprised that the rack that came with it is white plastic, and also the lid for the canner is black plastic. It would just seem that for a $300, the lid and rack would have been stainless steel or even a glass lid. So far the function is fine, easy to use. The height of the canner with the lid on is just a HAIR tall of a standard cupboard, so if you are thinking about putting it next to your sink to use the spout, pre measure how it actually sits. I had to open my cupboard to give it a 1/2"" to scoot back from the counters edge. I like that it has a thermostat, so that all i have to do is watch for the light, instead of taking the lid off to check if the ""boil"" is active enough or not. Remember to move the dial back till you hear the thermostat turn off and apparently that is where the dial needs to be to adjust for altitudes.....so far so good, a great alternative for waterbath canning if you have a glass top, we are planning to remodel with a flat induction cooktop, and this was a better option."
