Now you can take advantage of all the fresh produce available and prepare your own delicious, homemade fruit pie fillings. This unique starch is the first starch to be recommended by the USDA for canning fruit pie fillings at home. Due to its acid and freeze-thaw stability, it maintains consistency after canning or freezing. Ordinary cornstarch breaks down and yields a runny consistency after similar treatments. Also, use to make smooth gravies, sauces and soups with the same advantages. Recipes included. 1 lb. (approx. 2 cups) is enough to make fillings for up to 14 pies. Storage life of at least 1 year when stored in a cool dry place.
Good product

Been through my first 5 pounds and find it works as advertised. You can adjust the proportion of ClearJel to get a thicker or thinner result as desired. Does require attention (stirring) to prevent clumping as it hits jel point. Ideal for canning thickened fruit toppings.
Well pleased

I had never tried to can homemade pie filling before so I wasn't sure how it would turn out. To my surprise it turned out GREAT. I made blueberry and peach. I'm having to order more so I can prepare some apple pie filling when apple season arrives. I will continue to use this product.
I love Clear Jel

I love using Clear Jel to make pie fillings. I have also found it is great for making gravy. The gravy reheats to look like you just made it. It's wonderful!
Ingredients: Modified corn starch.
