Do you have lots of cherries? This cherry stoner is faster at removing pits than the plunger-type pitters. Just feed the cherries into the hopper and turn crank. Heavy-duty stoner squeezes cherries to remove stones. The stones go down the chute and the smashed cherries fall through the bottom all ready to create cherry preserves or pie filling. Made of durable cast iron, the cherry stoner has a corrosion resistant xylan coating for easy clean-up. Clamp mount fits most surfaces. Made in USA.

"This pitter/Stoner is GREAT when you have large quantities of cherries as in canning and freezing. The only downside is that pits do make it through and so you have to double check for them. Even with that this tool makes the job easier and faster, literaly taking you from hours to minutes."

When my in-laws quit picking cherries they passed this on to us. My MIL bought it in 1969 for $6.95. It really smashs the cherries but for jam and pie we don't care. And you'll get alot of cherry juice which is very good for joint problems. The first time I tried it I fell in love with it. Makes the job go very fast.
