Nothing tastes as great as homemade mayonnaise. Now you can make it without a lot of fuss. Simple to use, just pour in the makings of your favorite dressing, put on the top, and turn the crank. In minutes, homemade salad dressing, mayonnaise, or hot/cold sauce is ready to serve! The container can be used to make, serve, and store the dressings with 2 pouring a spouts and a non-slip base that becomes a lid for the container. Recipes are printed right on the canister and the large, deep blade blends ingredients consistently - no need for measuring cups. Canister is 2-1/2" in diameter and 7-1/2" tall. Dishwasher safe.

Initially the mayonnaise and dressing maker sounded like the perfect kitchen tool, but upon further testing it failed miserably. These tests were based on making mayonnaise and salad dressings. The results are listed below:
1. Unable to get good results from any recipes printed on the container. The recipe print was extremely small, difficult to read especially at the very bottom. The measuring cup markings are not highlighted and very difficult to see.
2. Unit is unstable when turning the top crank knob because of its height.
3. The crank drive gear mechanism is inadequate when trying to blend thicker dressings like mayonnaise. Crank knob very difficult to turn causing unit instability.
4. The gear mechanism is low quality. The gears are extremely sloppy and loose and the gear ratio is in adequate. It will simply not hold up during the rigorous blending and length of time during mayonnaise preparation. It will certainly give you a physical workout.
5. With a proven mayonnaise recipe the unit was still unable to produce satisfactory results.
6. The unit claims to be dishwasher safe, but I question that statement based on its plastic construction.
