Delicious REAL chocolate developed specifically for use in candymaking - of course it can also be used in baking recipes calling for real chocolate, too!. This chocolate is the "REAL thing", containing cocoa butter, so tempering is required when used for making candies. Merckens is a domestic processor of chocolate long known for their high quality.

I tested this side by side with the best chocolates in the world. It was the best for sure. I learned about this chocolate from Gourmet magazine when it won the taste test they had. The runners up were Valrhona , Lindt and Calibo so if you have tried any of them and liked them, try the Yucatan.
