I made the Princess castle for my princesss birthday I found by taking a small drill bit the size of a sucker stick you can drill small holes in the turrets and insert sucker sticks and insert that into the cake works very well holds it together for transporting

I made the castle cake as a buffet table centerpiece for our "Princess for a Day " Tea Party at our church. To secure the turrets next to the cake, I hot-glued them to the cake board and put an icing flowers around the base of the turrets. For the turrets that were inserted into the cake, I cut plastic columns about one inch shorter than the height of the cake, hot-glued the turrets to it and wrapped the bottom of the turret and about half of the column in tin foil to cover where I had glued them together. It worked wonderfully. Even after washing, the turrets and columns stayed together so I can use them again. Just for fun, I covered the cones on the turrets with purple fondant and brushed them with violet and super shine pearl dust so they glittered in the light. I was very pleased with the outcome.

I am a beginner, but the instructions described what to do and the outcome was beautiful. We had to transport the cake and stopped for gas, people were coming over to look at the cake.It was perfect. If transporting my only advice is to be sure to take extra candy melts in case the turrets fall, which a few of mine did. But I had extra melts so it was a quick and easy fix. To Lynda-No airbrushing required!
