Too large for conventional stove
Reviewed By: M. R. Chappell (Northbend, OR)
USDA recommends that a boiling-water canner not have more than 2 inches overhang on an electric heating element. The large burner on a conventional home stove is 8 inches in diameter. Having no handles makes it rather cumbersome to empty. It weighs almost 70 pounds when 1/4 full of water.
