I just received the mini stainless steel canning set. I don't even need to use this product to know that it is exactly what I had wanted. Since it is stainless steel, I know that it is chemically safe to use. It is the perfect size for small batch canning. It is also a great size for many other uses - can't wait to use it for steaming veggies, etc. Unlike other canning equipment, this will be used all year long. Also, I have a glass top stove. This canner is the right size to fit on the burner and it has a flat bottom which is what is needed for glass top stoves. Although it may seem a little pricey at first compared to other canning equipment, after checking prices of stainless steel stock pots in many locations, this item was right in the ball park. Love the steam vent hole.
