Great resource - a favorite

When I got interested in canning and preserving, I knew I would have to learn it by myself. I went online, and bought recommended books and this is one of them. Real basic stuff. and assumes (quite correctly) that you know nothing. Refer to it often.

When I decided to try canning/freezing and drying, I had no help, and knew I had to start from zero. I went on the boards, and bought recommended books. this was one of them. Really basic stuff, it assumes (quit correctly for me) that you know nothing. Excellent resource.

This book is an essential for home canning.. detailed instructions and lists gave me all I needed to get started. And the unusual recipes like mango butter; mango jalapeno jam; plum sauce; and easy dill pickles have all been hits when I give them as presents.
