Beater Blade

It did fail

Unfortunately I was correct in my assumption that this beater couldn't stand up to heavy cookie dough. It snapped at the neck while mixing chocolate cookies. Scared the heck out of me- plastic shards flew everywhere.
I'd recommend using it for creaming butter and cake batter- nothing heavier.

Scraping capability

This blade is expensive. I find it does a good of job scraping the bottom of the bowl, but not as well of the sides in my lift bowl machine.
Further, I wouldn't trust it for a heavy dough like cookies- it's plastic and I doubt it could handle the stress.

Blade reduces need to scrape down bowl sides. One note of caution: don't use on heavy batters or blade will snap off just above paddle. I speak from experience.
