LET THEM EAT CAKE
Chocolate cake with a scoop of
vanilla ice cream please. Sounds delicious - the perfect dessert! I could go for
that right now. But how about a new way of serving up cake and ice cream - all
in one slice. It's easy with the right pans. Here are a few ideas.
How about
a molded round cake with ice cream in the middle - how can that be done? With our
dome ice cream cake pan
you bake parts of the cake and construct the cake with ice cream in the middle.
You'll be able to create spectacular cakes and all you do is mix, bake and
decorate. All sorts of flavors with all sorts of fillings. You can have
chocolate cake with chocolate mint ice cream inside or how about white cake with
peach ice cream. Substitute puddings or mousse for the ice cream too. For pan

The newest craze in ice cream is mini
bites of ice cream, like Dippin Dots® or Mini Melts®.
You'll find these treats in malls, theme parks and fairs. They are tiny beads of
ice cream and yogurt. Bite-size bits of ice cream dipped in chocolate can also
be found in supermarkets like Edy's Dibs - small chunks of ice cream that you
just pop in your mouth and let it melt. Now you can make small portions of ice
cream at home. Just use a
mini lift and
serve cake pan.
Our mini cheesecake pan is perfect
for making small portions of ice cream. Press graham cracker crumbs, or cookie
crumbs in the bottom of each cavity, fill with your favorite ice cream and pour
melted chocolate over the top. Quickly place in freezer. When ready to eat, just
push up from the bottom. The disc will raise the ice cream treat right out of
the pan. Enjoy!
How about an ice cream cupcake cone?
This is a certainly a bigger portion than mini bites - a portion for those with
gigantic cravings! Use the new Nordic Ware®
Ice Cream Cone
Cupcake Pan to make six 3" dia. x 3" high cupcakes that look like an ice
cream cone. Then top them off with a huge scoop of your most favorite ice cream
- mine would be strawberry (most would pick chocolate). Be sure you have a good
appetite before you start!
So for our next birthday party -
don't serve just cake... Create a sensation and serve cake and ice cream all in
one slice!
