Creative Easter Desserts
New Page 1
Spring celebrations call for sweet treats
Spring celebrations call for sweet treats. Here are some ideas for creative desserts to serve for Easter dinner or brunch, coffee time, to send to school, or to share with your co-workers during break.

1. Make a hit at school or work with easy Easter treats. Bake your favorite cupcakes in
Easter baking cups, frost with
white buttercreme icing, spray with
pink, yellow, and violet Color Mist and top with cute bunny picks. Presto - an easy fun Easter treat!
2. Display your refreshments for meetings, clubs, coffee time, or Easter buffet in a dazzling way. Bake strawberry or lemon cupcakes in
spring baking cups, top with whipped topping or
buttercream icing and decorate with
daisy
sprinkles. Then place them in a
cupcake display stand and you have a stunning centerpiece for any gathering.
3. If you are having a spring or Easter party and you like to decorate cookies, why not make a cookie bouquet for the table - sweet treats and decorations all at the same time. All it takes is a cookie pop pan, sucker sticks, cookie mix, and flair to decorate. Choose the
blossom cookie treat or
Bunny cookie treat pan, press
sugar cookie dough into pan. Place
cookie stick into side of each cavity, making sure that the dough surrounds the stick. Bake, cool and decorate. Decorate the cookies with royal icing or pipe on buttercream as you wish. Choose a decorative container such as a small flower pot, jar,
mug or basket to place the cookies. You will want to have something heavy in the bottom of the container to give weight so the cookies won't topple over. Put on some finishing touches
and you have a table decoration as well as a party sweet gift for your guests.
4. Surprise everyone with a spring blossom sensation. Bake mini flower cakes in a
Silicone Flower Pan. Frost the cakes with a thin layer of
buttercream icing or glaze and let set. To decorate used
pastel rolled fondant to place over each cake and add a rolled small piece of fondant to add to the middle. An added decoration would be piped petals or strings of fondant shaped into petals.
If you don't want to use fondant, you can melt
colored confectionery coatings and dipped the glazed cakes to coat. Let set until hardened and then add decorations with
colored candywriters. You now have fun flowers that are delicious to eat!
Maybe you would like to show off your baking skills with a stunning cake. Here are a few ways to impress your family this Easter.
