Chocolate Dipped Treats
New Page 1
Whether you have a dipping party or just make fun treats - milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate – you can’t go wrong with the big 3! Make your treats come alive with the added taste of chocolate!!! It makes everything a little bit better.
Use a chocolate melting pot for dipping or preparing special dipped treats for your party.
Here are a few foods to try dipping...
Fruits
Why not make a wholesome treat a little extra special?
- Strawberries – Nice big juicy strawberries are wonderful when dipped in any chocolate. For an extra treat – dip in white chocolate, let set and dip again in milk chocolate. On a buffet table, these treats will be the first to go.
- Bananas - Freeze, peel, and dip half-way in milk chocolate. Store in airtight container in freezer until ready to eat.
- Apples – Caramel apples are such a temptation – make them more tempting by partially dipping in chocolate. Add nuts or sprinkles around the bottom and let set. You can just imagine the flavors when you take that first bite.
- Try other fruits like small pears dipped in white chocolate or orange slices in milk chocolate.
Cookies
Almost any cookie can have an added flavor and decoration of chocolate by dipping. Try partially dipping your favorite peanut butter cookies, macaroons, sugar cookies, biscotti, even chocolate chip cookies dipped in chocolate taste better. Half
chocolate and half plain makes cookies very attractive on a platter too!
Pretzels
Salty taste and chocolate – a combination that can’t be beat! Small knot-shaped pretzels can be dipped in white or milk chocolate and then rolled in nonpareils. Dip larger pretzels halfway and roll in nuts or sprinkles. Want to try caramel pretzel
drizzled with chocolate? Try this Caramel Pretzel recipe!
Coffee
You can even add a chocolate dipped treat to your coffee with a chocolate spoon. These are simple to make. Just take plastic chocolate spoon sticks and place in a spoon mold. Flavor milk or dark chocolate with hazelnut or your favorite flavoring and pour in the mold. For an added decoration, top with Valentine sprinkles. Serve these chocolate spoons with coffee for a treat at the end of the meal. Guests will stir their coffee and drink a luscious mocha beverage!
These are just a few ways to add chocolate to your day. So melt some chocolate or confectionery coating and liven up your sweets!
